Why Limited Run?

I spend many hours of my week listening to podcasts and I seem to forever be on a voracious hunt for this one type of podcast - long-form, serialised, limited-run, deep-dive - thoroughly researched, investigated, reported and thoughtfully produced podcasts that tell an in-depth story about an event, person or phenomenon. There are lots of these and I’ve chewed through dozens. Some of them are so well-made and gripping that I can’t move on with my day until I’ve finished the entire series. Some just don’t grab my attention despite the premise being interesting to me and I leave halfway through without giving it another thought. I’m pretty open to the topic of the podcasts I listen to, as long as the story is well-investigated and well-told, it doesn’t really matter to me.

I love history, politics, economics, popular culture, fashion, psychology, and music. Anything that intersects these kinds of topics to tell us something about ourselves and our society is usually what you’ll find me listening to.

I’ve started this blog as a record for myself of the limited-run podcasts that I’ve listened to and really enjoyed. I hope it can be of use to you as well!
